The Canteen Reopens - Saturday, 17 April The canteen will reopen this Saturday for outside service. We hope that will be able to open fully later in May, but this will be dependent upon more volunteers offering to help and further lifting of the Virus restrictions. Please consider volunteering.
Volunteering and Spring Tidy Up - Saturday, 24 April 2021 We are observing plenty of activity on your plots but would ask you to consider giving an hour or so of your time by regularly volunteering either in the Canteen, Trading Hut or Saturday Working Group, including helping with the mowers. There is opportunity for all to volunteer on Saturday 24th April for our Spring Tidy up between 9 am -12 midday – there is a lot to do, please join us.
Charity Coffee Morning - Saturday, 29 May A charity coffee morning will be organised by the Canteen team and will take place on Saturday, 29th of May. Donations will be welcome, there will be more information nearer the event.
BBQ - Late May Bank Holiday – Monday, 31 May 12pm -3pm Providing the weather is good and Covid restrictions allow we invite you to join us for a BBQ on the Canteen Green.
New Plot Holders Meeting 3rd July 2.30pm -3.30pm Outside weather permitting on the canteen green – refreshments provided.
It is so good to welcome many new plot holders, their families, and friends to AWSLG. Prior to Covid we used to have a get together one a year for new plot holders, so you could meet the committee, ask questions, talk about AWSLG, gain information about planting, growing and discuss our key messages about maintaining your plots and volunteering. If you have joined us during 2020 or this year, please try to attend.
The August Bank Holiday 100 Year Celebration to take place on Sunday 29th August, Monday 30th August 2021. Sunday –
The day will be dedicated to the Annual Vegetable, Fruit and Flower Show plus some activities on the Green. There will be an afternoon tea and the now famous Auction at the end of the show. We will need help both on the Saturday and Sunday to prepare for the Show and help with the teas. Please email or let Jen Tapping (Chair) know if you are willing to help.

Monday -
A come together BBQ, Stalls, Music and Entertainment. A fun day for all the family and friends to celebrate. If you would like to have a Craft, Gardening, Face Painting, or Hobby etc. stall at the celebration please let us know. No Jumble Stalls. Again, we would like some offers of help. 100 Years cannot go by without a Major Celebration.
